South Australian building and construction businesses were big winners at the 2022 National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards.
Tools were down to celebrate the building and construction industry’s best and brightest with SA businesses walking away as winners in four categories.
Master Builders Australia CEO Denita Wawn congratuled the winners and finalists for reaching this highly competitive stage.
“The pre-eminent national awards for the industry was the first time it returned to its normal face-to-face format following disruptions from the pandemic.”
Master Builders South Australia CEO Will Frogley applauded the state winners and said the building and construction industry has demonstrated that in the face of adversity, it continues to provide the highest quality outcomes for clients around the country.
Glasshouse Projects took home the National Renovations/Extensions Award – $1M to $2M for their successful project in the renovation of an 1890s cottage.
Sarah Constructions took home two categories, the National Lifestyle Housing for Seniors Award – Retirment Villages for their work on the Encore Apartments and the National Commercial/Industrail Construction Award – $10m to $20m for work on Murray Bridge High School.
Synergy Construct received the National Commercia/Industrial Construction Award – $20m to $50m for the North Terrace Student Accommodation project.
Denita Wawn said the annual three-day event culminates in the announcement of the country’s best builders in residential, commercial and civil construction and recognises the projects that have won them acclaim.
“To be in the running for a National Excellence Award, entrants must have progressed from winning awards in their State or Territory and must be nominated by their local Master Builders Association to being judged for a national award,” Ms Wawn said.
