David Gates

David has a long association with Master Builders Tasmania, having been a member since 1992, the same year he established his business, David Gates Design Unlimited, which developed into a niche design and construct building company.

He is the former President of Master Builders Tasmania and a current director, his tenure includes seven years as a Board Member, previous Regional Chair and participated in various sub-committees.

David was awarded the prestigious Master Builders Australia Apprentice of the year in the early 1990’s, holding a well founded passion to constantly improve the sector, he brings a diverse understanding of the industry’s on-the-ground issues and communicates well at all levels in the members’ best interests.
