“Master Builders Australia supports the notion that income derived from contributions made to worker entitlement funds should be used for the benefit of those on whose behalf the contributions are made, and not for improper purposes as identified in the Heydon Royal Commission,” Denita Wawn, CEO of Master Builders Australia said.
“The Bill will address gaps in the current regime, particularly around funding of training and other services, and establish clear rules ensuring income is spent in a transparent and accountable way, and only for the intended purpose,” she said.
“People who make contributions to the fund have a right to know that their money is being used for the right thing, and won’t end up in the coffers of unions,” Denita Wawn said.
