Following a referral from the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Employment, Workplace Relations, Skills and Training adopted an inquiry into the operation and adequacy of the National Employment Standards (NES) under the Fair Work Act 2009.
It is the Master Builders overall position that there should not be any substantive changes to the NES framework, nor should there be changes made to the individual NES entitlements without appropriate consultation being undertaken.
