Supporting women at every stage of their construction career

Level the Site is a National Mentoring Program initiative under Master Builders Australia and funded by the Australian Government. The program is designed to support women at all points in their construction careers through structured, one-on-one mentoring relationships.

Targeting pivotal moments in a woman’s career – such as entering the industry, returning from parental leave, relocating, upskilling or seeking promotion – the program ensures mentees have consistent access to personalised guidance that reflects their unique goals and challenges.

The program aims to support 300 active mentoring partnerships over two years, carefully matching each participant with a mentor whose experience can help them grow. By recognising the value of diverse perspectives and lived experience, the program aims to strengthen the construction industry and promote a more inclusive workforce.

The program is supported by key partners including the AWU, CCF, Bunnings, Brickworks and nine Master Builders Australia state and territory offices. This program is a cornerstone of broader national efforts to foster a more inclusive, equitable and supportive construction industry for women.
